ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hello and welcome! My name is Logan Gardner and I am an artist, poet, and tabletop gamer hailing from Omaha, Nebraska. My practice primarily focuses on drawing the human figure. I'm driven by a continual pursuit for technical excellence and expressive work that sparks your inner curiosity.
I primarily work in ink and pencil. Black and white schemes has long resonated with me for its ability to capture the rawest essence of timelessness in a world that never stops changing. It always struck a chord with me for its intensity, and I plan to keep it that way for the long haul. I also confidently tap into watercolor, oil paint, and digital art.
My work has been featured in multiple art exhibition outlets along with my poetry featured in Figments of Fire, a 2025 poetry anthology by Eber & Wein Publishing.
I'm open for various services whether it be exhibitions, prints, and commission work. Feel free to contact me whenever, whether it be in person or online. Whatever is more comfortable with you.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Art serves as a nonverbal language through which I explore human longing, connection, and meaning. In a world that often feels spiritually and emotionally fragmented, I use the human figure and environment as a means of examining vulnerability, presence, and the instinctive desire for belonging.
I work primarily with ink and graphite, drawn to their stark black-and-white contrasts and sense of nostalgia. These materials allow me to capture intense emotion through aggressive linework, heavy shadows, and spontaneous mark-making. Music plays a central role in my process, helping me detach from my surroundings and translate sound, memory, and integral rhythm into visual form.
My work is informed by personal narrative, pop culture, and Christian symbolism, using the body and landscape as reflections of both divine structure and human fragility. Through expressive portraiture and figurative scenes, I aim to challenge the audience to find enlightenment from their own discoveries through my own.
Unafraid to take risks with my process, my ultimate goal is to create work that captures the whimsical yet morbid complexity humanity provides with their constantly changing figures, beliefs, and cultural advancement.
